Rosie is in her thirties and originally came to us temporarily many years ago to recover from laminitis. Her owner did not have the facilities or knowledge to care for her when she became ill so we helped out. While she was with us her owner lost his job and land and was unable to take her back so decided that it would be best to have her put to sleep as she would be unlikely to find a new home. One of our foster carers had fallen in love with her and stepped in and bought her for themselves and she lived happily in her new home for many years. Unfortunately our lovely foster carer became ill and sadly died. When our horses came to us we also took in Rosie who is very close to her foster sister Gypsy. Rose was used as a brood mare in her first home and then as a companion and has never been broken to ride. She is a gentle girl who gets on with everyone that she meets.
