Polly is one of our long stay residents, she is in her 40s and has been with us around 10yrs. She was abandoned in a field at a livery yard and it is believed she was bought out of the market as a child’s pony. Polly doesn’t really enjoy being handled and isn’t very trusting of strangers and we feel she has probably had a hard life at some point. She likes to keep to herself and will pull faces and threaten to bite or kick if you try to catch her but is normally more tolerant once caught and is very well behaved for the farrier. She is terrified of clippers and runs as soon as she hears them, her best friend is a very hairy little Shetland called Minty!
