As you know, Pablo’s has in its care many horses and ponies at several sites around Melton Mowbray. Unfortunately, one of these sites is no longer available for Pablo’s to use. Therefore, the horses (approximately 8) looked after at that site need a new home. In the short term, they will relocate to Waltham Lane. But in the long term it will be better for their health and wellbeing if a new site is found for them.

Pablo’s is doing all it can to find a field for these beautiful animals, but we would very much appreciate all the help we can get in finding somewhere.

If anyone who knows of any land that can be rented, please get in touch with Carole on 07745-628684. Thank you.

PABLO’S FUNDRAISING DOG WALK Sunday 9th October 2016

Everyone arrived at the Crown & Plough around 11.30am. Jo opened early for us, the coffee was flowing, we completed the registrations and set off at 12 midday. It was a bright crisp day and the sun was shining on us…it was great walking weather!

There were 15 willing walkers with 14 amazing dogs walking the route through and around the beautiful village of Long Clawson. We even took the 2 dogs from the Crown & Plough with us. We had quite a few rescue dogs doing the walk this year – one who had travelled from Romania only six months earlier. It was interesting to hear their stories and we thank you all for making this year’s event so special.

Everyone received a Doggie Goodie Bag, with generous contributions from Wendy at RandR Country in Melton and Pets at Home. So thank you Wendy, you made our Doggie Goodie Bags well worth having! We have been discussing with RandR a possible joint Doggie event for next year, so details to follow.

The 2016 Dog Walk was a huge success thanks to some incredible fundraising and we managed to increase on the figure raised last year, so a massive thank you to you all. Every penny raised will be spent on the welfare and care of the horses, ponies and other animals at Pablo’s. They are all so important to us and so is the continuation of the sanctuary, where they receive the love and care these amazing animals deserve when they need it the most.

With your help and support we can continue our work at the sanctuary, thank you to you all we are so grateful and so are the horses.
