Hi Everyone

Shanti and Jubail braving the snow

Shanti and Jubail braving the snow

The horses and ponies are all fine, and braved the snow (although some really enjoyed playing in it) that we had a few weeks ago. This time of the year is always a tough one, both on the yard and financially, and this year has been more financially tough that usual. However, Radio Leicester and ITV have come to our rescue!

On Thursday 6th February, the crew from Radio Leicester came on to the yard to record an interview with Carole, which was then aired. Then the very next day, the Central news team, crew and cameras spent the morning on the yard following all the volunteers around as they did yard duties. Carole did another interview and this was featured on the Friday new that evening. If you missed the feature you can watch it on the following link: http://www.itv.com/news/central/2015-02-06/abandoned-horses-in-east-midlands-reaching-crisis-point/  you can also see some on the horses on film. A sincere thank you to all those kind people who have responded by sending in cheques, making donations of hay and feed, we are so grateful that this will help us get through the winter.

Our second Fashion Show was held on Thursday 29th January at the Royal British Legion in Melton Mowbray. A great night was had, with over 70 people braving the bad weather and snow on the night to come and support us.

Don’t forget about Pablo’s 100 Club! This gives an opportunity to support Pablos with minimum of effort and expense and with a very good chance of winning a monthly cash prize! It only costs £12 per number, per year, to enter and you can pay yearly or on a monthly basis. The draw will take place at Pablo’s yard in Long Clawson on the last Friday of every month. How it works – the total prize money will be 50% of the monthly income – there will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes – the other 50% will be donated to Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary!  For more information contact Julia on 07766 664222.
