Happy New Year to all our friends and supporters!!

We would like to start by wishing all our friends and supporter a very Happy New Year for 2014.

Unfortunately we have to ask that for people to stop contacting the Sanctuary as we are absolutely full, and are physically and financially unable to take on any more horses and ponies.  Although we can appreciate unfortunate situations and the stress that this can cause, unfortunately there are so many unwanted horses and ponies out there that are living in desperate states and situations, which need a place at a charity or sanctuary.  So if you have an old faithful friend, please could you try everything that you can to keep your horse or pony with you, as Sanctuary’s are full and really do struggle in during the Winter months to keep going.

Our volunteer John will be holding a store collection this Saturday 18th January at the Cooperative supermarket  in Oakham.  If you are passing, please could you help to support us by donating any small change as every little helps.  Also John and volunteers will be at the Morrison’ supermarket in Melton Mowbray on Saturday 8th February and Sunday 9th February holding a store collection.

We would like to give a big thank you to Berole Marriot from Kirby Bellars who very kindly donated 10 big bales of haylage and for Tony and Paul who kindly came over from Leicester to collect the hay and transport it over to us.

If there is anyone who could donate any spare hay to help feed our 70+ horses and ponies over this Winter, please could you get in touch.
