New News!

First of all thank you to everyone who came out to support our double headliner last night at Melton Mowbray WMC.The Fantastic night saw `A tribute to Roy Orbsion` and `Go! reload` both play magnificent sets that went down a storm, thank you so much to the artistes and special mention to John and Wenda.

If you are in Loughborough today our fundraising team are having a store collection in Sainsbury`s , big thanks to Rachel and Sue who have been so successful in raising us so much money this year between them.

We have more music nights booked and as soon as I have the details i`ll be posting them here so keep checking back!

Don`t forget that Sunday 15th August we will be having Internationally renowned Horse Whisperer Adam Shereston at Pablo`s Horse Sanctuary in an all day event where advance tickets are just £10.00 and £12.50 on the gate.

We are still inundated with calls and Emails from so many people unable or unwilling to look after there Horses. Although we are currently at bursting  point we still aim to do all we can to help ease the suffering of these beautiful animals. If you are able to give a horse a new Home or perhaps need a companion and you have the time, love, dedication and means to help re-home please give us a call.We must state that this is not an offer for any of our own animals, also we are not looking for people who just want a new animal to ride, we are looking at possible contacts to help us re-home animals that we do not currently have the space for.

Our oldest Boys at the Sanctuary are doing very well,Sidney depsite his three meals a day and supplements still looks skinny but he`s a very happy boy and still wickers louder than any of the Sanctuary`s other animals.

Icarus our Shetland stallion has always been a handsome and likable character however he has always been rather shy with people.Recently Icarus has been a less shy due to  the attentions of Chris and Jerry who are building a shelter in the Pen he usually runs around in,Icarus certainly seems to have taken a shine to them.

Our recycle Inkjet Catridge and mobile phone project is starting to take off but still we need more! so before you throw them away think of us! Just click on the banner beneath or go to the links at the side of the page.

We would like to of course like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supports us,thank you!

Thanks to all who came to see us at this years Hosefest at Hose in Leicestershire. Congratulations to the events organizers for making a superb village fete and music festival with a truly lovely atmosphere.Well done to our senior volunteer Andrea for getting on the microphone and giving our stall a great bit of promotion when the festival opened. There were some fabulous bands playing from mid afternoon, everything from gentle acoustic to modern punk this going on til quite late in the evening.

Despite the blustery wind the weather stayed nice all day and we were able to make many new friends.A terrific number of our volunteers were on hand, thanks to everyone for their time.

Again we had great success with `Marble mania`,a simple yet addictive game for all ages which brought the crowds over

It really is so nice when people stop and talk to us and are genuinely interested about the work that we do.

Big thumbs up to Carole Fielding our owner and founder who had another successful day on the charity stall she runs most Saturday`s in Melton Mowbray. Please feel free to come and over and chat with Carole, she is more than happy to answer any queries and even if Pablo`s cannot help directly she has many contacts and will do her utmost to help.Listen up for Carole on Monday or Tuesday afternoon on the Vale of Belvoir radio station` 103-The Eye` where Carole will be talking about Pablo`s and our upcoming events.

Jess and Jodie not hard at work!

We really enjoying doing fete`s and stall`s they are a fantastic way of marketing our charity and reaching even more people.Perhaps you are organizing a fete or know of one near you that you can recommend to us? Do you fancy helping us at Fete` or a stall? maybe you have some quality things that you wish to donate to us that have re-sale-able value? Can you make cakes or hand made crafts which we could sell? If you can help us with any of the above or you just would like to know more about the work that we do,please give us a call we would love to hear from you.

what a scorcher

Hosefest is almost upon us!!! Hosefest is a very popular village festival that every year runs in the scenic village of Hose in the Belvoir valley. Hosefest is set this year for Saturday July 3rd and best of all Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary will be there! why not come and say Hi.

Pablo's Stall at Melton Fair 2010

Thanks to all who came to see us on a scarily hot Sunday at Melton Mowbray Country fair which saw us debut our `Minty merchandise`. Unfortunately, we couldn’t bring Minty to the show as advertised due to the forecast heat on the day. A huge thank you to our volunteers who spent over ten hours in the scorching heat doing all they could to promote our name.

Very kind hearted Dave and Helen from Lealane farm in Selston, Leicestershire donated free of charge to us over 100 bales of hay. Due to the very bad winter hay has been very expensive so we really are so thankful and over the moon for the generosity.

Ezra, Shanty and Ted are amongst our horses sporting this seasons fashions with their most bodacious fly fringes, also Winston continues his medieval look again this summer in his fly rug.

Definitely worth a mention is our pretty pony Daisy who suffers with metabolic stress syndrome and a chronic laminitic due to this condition. Daisy has recently looked a lot better and moving around, trotting, playing and looking her best, when she looks well she is one of the prettiest ponies you will ever see.

Don’t forget tickets are now on sale to see the Horse Whisperer-Adam Shereston at Pablo’s Horse Sanctuary on Sunday 15th August, tickets are £10.00 in advance and £12.50 on the gate.

thank you to all who help us and all who continue to support us!
